Penix, making his first start since tearing his ACL last November, threw an interception on Atlanta's opening drive but settled in fast. Coach Matt LaFleur did not mince words afterward, saying, "Everybody's got to take a long, hard look at themselves," a comment that Yahoo Sports reported put the third-year coach under fresh scrutiny after Green Bay's first home-opener loss in over a decade.

For Atlanta, the win is as much a medical milestone as a football one. Penix tore his ACL in Week 11 of last season, and Thursday marked his first game action since. His full workload and clean pocket movement offered an early answer to questions about whether he'd look like himself entering the heart of the schedule.
