The Atlanta Falcons left no doubt on Monday night, routing the New Orleans Saints 45-24 at Caesars Superdome in a Week 4 divisional blowout that was never really close in the second half. Atlanta outgained New Orleans 420 total yards to 320, controlling the line of scrimmage behind a relentless ground game that the Saints simply could not slow down, according to the official box score posted by the team.

Robinson Leads the Ground Assault

Running back Bijan Robinson was the engine of the Atlanta attack, carrying 19 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Jahan Dotson added a receiving score for the Falcons, who turned a physical rushing performance into a decisive scoreboard advantage, per the FOX Sports game box score.

New Orleans did not go quietly. Quarterback Tyler Shough completed 30 of 48 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown, leaning heavily on receiver Chris Olave, who hauled in eight catches for 116 yards. Running back Alvin Kamara scored twice on short rushing touchdowns, and receiver Devaughn Vele added a touchdown catch, but the Saints' offense could never fully erase Atlanta's early cushion.

The loss dropped New Orleans to 1-3 on the young season, continuing a difficult start for a Saints team that has struggled to find consistency on either side of the ball, as detailed in the team's own opponent-profile recap. For Atlanta, the result was a much-needed statement in the NFC South, with the rushing attack doing the heavy lifting in a game that also featured notable defensive pressure up front for the home side, even as it wasn't enough to flip the outcome.

The rematch energy between these division rivals was obvious from kickoff at the Superdome, a building more accustomed in recent memory to hosting marquee events like Super Bowl LIX than lopsided divisional defeats for the home team. Both clubs now turn their attention to the next stretch of the schedule as the NFC South race continues to take shape.
