Apple Music's Super Bowl LX Halftime Show starring Bad Bunny was among the night's biggest winners, sweeping variety special categories that included directing, lighting design, music direction, sound mixing, choreography and technical direction, according to TheWrap. The Peacock competition series "The Traitors" also had a dominant showing, taking hosting, directing, picture editing, cinematography and production design honors.

A First-Ever Legacy Award

Night 2 also featured the inaugural presentation of the Television Academy's new Legacy Award, created to honor programs whose cultural influence extends well beyond their original broadcast run. The first recipient was "I Love Lucy," the 1950s sitcom widely credited with pioneering the multi-camera format and rerun syndication model that much of modern television still relies on.

The Creative Arts Emmys traditionally serve as a bellwether for the following week's main ceremony, where acting and top series categories will be decided.

This year's Creative Arts ceremony arrived amid a broader industry conversation about the growing dominance of live and quasi-live programming — variety specials, competition shows and awards telecasts — in categories once reserved for scripted television's technical crews. The halftime show's sweep and "The Traitors'" strong night both reflect that shift, even as prestige dramas and limited series still claimed a substantial share of Saturday's awards.
