Audrina Patridge is putting her cards on the table: the reality TV original confirmed she and country singer Michael Ray called it quits months ago, ending a two-year romance that once looked headed for the altar.

The 41-year-old The Hills alum told PEOPLE that she and Ray, 38, split back in July, meaning she'd quietly been single for months before going public. Patridge didn't offer a reason for the breakup, and as of publication Ray — best known for country radio hits — hadn't addressed the split himself.

The pair first sparked dating rumors in spring 2024 after fans spotted Ray interacting with cast members from Patridge's old MTV stomping grounds, and they went Instagram official that July with a kissing photo that sent the fandom into a frenzy. Patridge had previously gushed about their connection, once saying she was open to marrying Ray because "when you find someone that actually clicks and makes you happy... we know what not to do" — an apparent nod to both of their previous marriages.

Now, Patridge says she isn't rushing back into anything but hasn't ruled out another walk down the aisle. "I'm open to it if it's with the right person and if our hearts and our lifestyle align," she said, adding that she's steering clear of dating apps and prefers meeting people "through a mutual friend" or in person, per additional comments shared around the announcement.

Patridge, who rose to fame on Laguna Beach and The Hills before starring in Marriage Boot Camp and other reality fare, has weathered a very public divorce before. Ray, for his part, has kept a low profile since the split and continues touring behind his catalog. Neither has been publicly linked to anyone new.
