Taylor Swift's 'Patient Zero' Debuts at No. 1, Ties Drake's Hot 100 Record
The surprise single knocked Ella Langley's 24-week champ off the top and gave Swift her 16th career chart-topper.
Taylor Swift keeps breaking her own records. Her surprise single "Patient Zero" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, dethroning Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" after a 24-week reign.
It's Swift's 16th career Hot 100 No. 1 — moving her past Rihanna and Drake into third place all-time behind only the Beatles and Mariah Carey — and her 10th song to debut at the top, tying Drake for the most in chart history.
Swift stacked the rest of the top five too, with "Cleveland!," "Babylon" and "Pink Clouding" landing at Nos. 3 through 5. The song arrives weeks after "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore," which is on pace for its 14th week atop the Billboard 200.
