Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are facing pushback from neighbors over plans to wall off their $5.35 million lakefront property in Bratenahl, Ohio, according to TMZ, which obtained records from a village Architectural Review Board meeting, and a follow-up report from International Business Times.

Neighbor Katherine Bolton, who has lived next door for more than three decades, told the board the two properties share a century-old clay sewer line and warned that planting roughly 50 evergreen trees just ten feet away "is virtually guaranteed to cause severe root intrusion, pipe structural failure and catastrophic sewage backups." Other residents raised concerns about deer traffic and feeling "closed off" by the couple's security plans.

The board ultimately approved a revised six-foot privacy fence, set about two feet inside the property line to avoid the old sewer pipe. Representatives for the couple said they had already paid roughly $7,500 to repair and clean a broken section of the shared line, and added a gate to address a neighbor's complaint.

Swift and Kelce bought the Lake Erie-area mansion earlier this year. Neither has publicly commented on the dispute, which has nonetheless become easy fodder online for a couple whose every home-improvement decision now counts as news.
