Jack Lowden's name has been thrown around as a top contender for the next James Bond, with even Gary Oldman reportedly singing his praises. But his wife, Saoirse Ronan, wants everyone to pump the brakes on the frenzy.

"We're kind of getting on with our life, to be honest," Ronan said, downplaying the buzz. "We have plenty of other things to be dealing with. So, yeah, it's not really a subject that's coming up in our house, to be honest. The dog needs to be walked, the dinner needs to be made — we're most focused on that," she told press this week, per Yahoo Entertainment.

Ronan noted Lowden is currently tied up filming Season 6 of Apple TV's "Slow Horses," and seemed amused rather than annoyed by the 007 noise. It's a notable 180 from an August interview where Ronan joked about her own 007 ambitions, telling Empire she wanted to play a Bond villain and was "dead serious" about it — an irony not lost on fans now watching the Bond rumor mill circle her own household.
