New court filings in a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj are revealing behind-the-scenes tension over how much money went into promoting her 2023 album "Pink Friday 2," according to TMZ.

An email dated November 29, 2023, allegedly written by a member of Minaj's team, complains that "the $250K allowance from Republic [Records] is extremely low" and warns it "will cost her at least double that," noting hotels and transportation alone could eat up the entire budget.

The email surfaced as part of a $275,000 lawsuit filed by production company 24/7 Productions, which claims it fronted costs for Minaj's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball appearances and the wider promotional push and was never reimbursed. Minaj has argued she personally has no obligation to pay, saying any contract exists between the company and her business entity, Pink Friday Productions LLC. The case remains ongoing in Los Angeles Superior Court.
