Mia Goth Files for Divorce From Shia LaBeouf, Ending Nearly 10-Year Marriage

Mia Goth has officially pulled the plug on her marriage to Shia LaBeouf, filing for divorce this week after the couple quietly separated more than a year ago, according to court documents reported by The Associated Press via NBC News.

The "Frankenstein" and "Pearl" actress filed the paperwork in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. According to the filing, Goth and LaBeouf have been separated since July 28, 2025 — meaning the pair kept their breakup under wraps for well over a year before making it official.

Goth is asking the court for primary legal and physical custody of the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Isabel, while granting LaBeouf visitation rights. She has also asked the court to deny spousal support to either party, per The Independent's report via Yahoo.

A Relationship With a Long, Bumpy History

Goth and LaBeouf's romance dates back to 2012, when they met on the set of "Nymphomaniac: Vol. II." They married in Las Vegas in 2016, split and announced plans to divorce in 2018 without finalizing it, then quietly reconciled in 2020. Isabel was born in 2022.

"WE WERE DEEPLY UNHAPPY."

That's what LaBeouf said of the marriage in a March interview, calling their problems "impossible" to fix while adding he still respects Goth and that she "gives me grace."

Representatives for both stars have been tight-lipped since the filing. LaBeouf's attorney, Shawn Holley, declined to comment, while a rep for the actor previously told Page Six that "the separation is amicable, and all details pertaining to the divorce proceedings will remain private."

The timing has raised eyebrows: Goth's filing landed just one day after LaBeouf settled a lawsuit with his "Honey Boy" co-star and ex-girlfriend FKA twigs for the second time, closing out a legal saga over nondisclosure terms tied to their original 2020 settlement. LaBeouf is also currently serving two years of probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor battery stemming from a drunken brawl in New Orleans earlier this year, a sentence that also included alcohol rehabilitation and anger-management classes.

Neither Goth nor LaBeouf has publicly addressed the divorce filing directly as of publication.
