"Love Is Blind UK" Golden Couple Nicole and Benaiah Announce Shock Split
Nicole Stevens and Benaiah Grunewald Brydie, who married on the show's first season, say they've "officially separated" after more than three years together.
Nicole Stevens and Benaiah Grunewald Brydie, widely considered "Love Is Blind: UK" season one's success story, have split. Nicole announced it in an Instagram Story on October 12, according to TVInsider and a follow-up report via AOL.
The couple married on the Netflix dating experiment's debut U.K. season in September 2023 and had been held up by fans as proof the show's pods-to-altar format could work long-term. Nicole wrote that she was "devastated" the relationship had reached "the point of no return" and asked for privacy, without detailing a reason for the breakup. Benaiah had not publicly commented as of this report.
Observers noted the couple skipped the "Love Is Blind: UK" season three launch party in August, which some fans flagged at the time as a possible warning sign. The reports describe the pair as separated; neither has confirmed that formal divorce proceedings have begun.
The split lands as the franchise's U.K. spinoff keeps expanding, with a third season already airing — and its most-cited success story now, like so many "Love Is Blind" pairings before it, added to the show's growing list of breakups.
