Lady Gaga and Fiancé Michael Polansky Reveal They Quietly Welcomed a Daughter via Surrogate
The singer kept the pregnancy entirely private, revealing only now that daughter Rose Bean Polansky was born in June.
LOS ANGELES — Lady Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky have welcomed a daughter via surrogate, the singer's team confirmed Wednesday, months after the birth was kept entirely private.
The baby, named Rose Bean Polansky, was born June 9 in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which broke the news. Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, had gotten engaged in 2024 but had not announced a pregnancy or birth beforehand; the first public sighting came in June when the couple was photographed walking with the baby. The specific reason for using a surrogate hasn't been disclosed. The name is said to nod to Gaga's "La Vie en Rose" performance in "A Star Is Born" and to LGBTQ activist Carl Bean, who inspired her song "Born This Way."
