Khóe Kardashian Claps Back at Backlash Over "The Kardashians'" AI Opening Sequence
After the family's Hulu show kicked off its new season with an AI-generated credits sequence, Khloé says critics need to watch the whole thing before judging.
Khloé Kardashian is defending "The Kardashians'" new AI-generated opening credits after the season eight premiere drew sharp criticism online, according to International Business Times and MEAWW.
The Hulu show's October 8 premiere opened with an AI-generated sequence imagining the family replaced by artificial intelligence, with each sister suffering increasingly glitchy, algorithm-warped mishaps — Khloé's includes a grotesquely oversized eye — before the real cast pushes back on the idea that technology could replace them. Reaction split fast: some viewers praised the self-aware joke, while others called it "uncanny" or accused the show of hypocrisy for critiquing AI while leaning on it to open the episode.
Responding on Instagram, Khloé said it was "frustrating" when people judged the bit after watching only its first few seconds, urging fans to watch the whole sequence before weighing in.
New episodes of "The Kardashians" continue dropping weekly, and the AI intro has so far stuck around at the top of each one, debate included.
