Joe Jonas is opening up about a frightening accident during a recent vacation in Portofino, Italy, where he says he fell between a yacht and a smaller tender boat and ended up in the water. He detailed the incident on the Sept. 23 episode of "The Morgan Stewart Show."

Jonas said he was stepping from the yacht onto the restaurant's tender boat when a wave pushed the smaller vessel away from him, causing him to slip and fall into the gap between the two boats. A crew member who tried to grab him ended up in the water too. Fully clothed with his phone still in his pocket, Jonas said he hesitated to swim toward the yacht's ladder out of fear of the engines, slipped once trying to climb onto the tender, and managed to pull himself out on a second attempt.

He said the ordeal "really spooked" him, and that his first instinct afterward was to call his daughters, Willa and Delphine, whom he shares with ex-wife Sophie Turner. "I just need to call them. I need to see them. I need to see their faces," Jonas recalled thinking.

Jonas was vacationing with girlfriend Tatiana Gabriela alongside podcast host Morgan Stewart and her husband, Jordan McGraw, when the incident occurred, according to Geo News.
