The woman who accused Jay-Z of raping her when she was 13 has completely reversed course, filing a sworn declaration in Manhattan federal court on Thursday stating there is "no truth to any of my claims" against him.

In the 12-page filing, the woman — identified in court papers as Jane Doe — wrote that she has "never met or spoken to Mr. Carter" and that he "never engaged in any inappropriate conduct" toward her, according to Rolling Stone. She said her claim began after she responded to a 2024 Facebook ad seeking people with allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, and that the ad "triggered memories" she later came to doubt.

She also said she was not paid or promised anything in exchange for recanting, per NME. Jay-Z, who denied the allegations from the start, is already suing the woman and her former attorney, Tony Buzbee, for malicious prosecution.
