Cardi B Is Pregnant With Baby No. 4 — Her First With Patriots Star Stefon Diggs
The rapper revealed the pregnancy on 'CBS Mornings,' just as she gears up to drop a new album and launch her first arena tour.
Cardi B is expecting her fourth child — and her first with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, the New England Patriots wide receiver — the rapper revealed this week in an emotional sit-down on "CBS Mornings."
Cardi, 32, already shares three children with ex-husband Offset. She told CBS Mornings the new pregnancy comes at a moment she feels more grounded than she has in years.
"I FEEL VERY STRONG. I FEEL VERY POWERFUL."
"I feel like I'm in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I'm doing all this work," Cardi said, according to Rolling Stone. "But I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby, me and my man, we're very supportive of each other."
A Big Week on Multiple Fronts
The pregnancy news lands just one day before Cardi releases her long-awaited new album, "Am I the Drama?," out Friday, September 19. She's also due to give birth before her first-ever arena tour, "Little Miss Drama," which kicks off in February — meaning the rapper is plotting a return to the road only weeks after becoming a new mother again.
Diggs, 32, joined the Patriots as a free agent and has quickly become one of the team's most talked-about offensive weapons, but his relationship with Cardi B has generated nearly as many headlines as his play on the field, according to ESPN. The couple went public earlier this year and have been increasingly open about their relationship since.
Fans and fellow artists flooded social media with congratulations within hours of the CBS Mornings segment airing, with the announcement quickly becoming one of the most-discussed celebrity stories of the week. Neither Cardi nor Diggs has commented publicly on a due date beyond Cardi's remarks that the baby is expected before the February tour launch.
What's next: Cardi B's "Am I the Drama?" drops Friday, and she is expected to continue promotional appearances for the album before shifting focus to the baby's arrival and the February tour.
