New wedding photos are offering fans a rare, tender glimpse of Bruce Willis three years into his public battle with frontotemporal dementia — smiling beside his daughter Tallulah as she celebrated her marriage to musician Justin Acee at the family's ranch in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Tallulah, 32, and Acee wed on Aug. 8 in an intimate ceremony that stayed largely private until this week, when Vogue published the first photos from the wedding weekend. Among them: a black-and-white shot of Bruce with an arm around his daughter as she leaned into him, and images of him holding hands with his new son-in-law. He wore a straw hat, a short-sleeved linen shirt and light-colored pants — casual, relaxed, and by all accounts fully present for the milestone.

A Family United

Willis, 71, was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 before his family revealed in February 2023 that the diagnosis had progressed to frontotemporal dementia, a condition that affects behavior, personality and language. He has made only a handful of public appearances since, and each one has drawn outsized attention from fans who grew up on his decades-long action-movie career. His ex-wife Demi Moore, Tallulah's mother, was seated front row at the ceremony in a floor-length dress; the two remain close co-parents and have spoken openly in recent years about supporting Willis together alongside his current wife, Emma Heming Willis.

A RARE AND DEEPLY PERSONAL GLIMPSE OF BRUCE SURROUNDED BY FAMILY

That's how TMZ described the photos after they surfaced, noting the appearance is especially meaningful given how rarely Willis is seen in public settings anymore. Willis and Moore share three daughters — Rumer, Scout and Tallulah — from their 1987-2000 marriage, while Willis and Heming Willis have two younger daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn. Family members, particularly Rumer Willis, have used social media in recent years to update fans on Bruce's condition and to push back on speculation about his day-to-day life, generally asking for privacy while still sharing occasional glimpses like this one.

Frontotemporal dementia typically progresses over several years and, unlike Alzheimer's, often affects younger patients and tends to impact behavior and language before memory. There is no cure, and treatment generally focuses on managing symptoms and quality of life. Willis's family has used his diagnosis to raise public awareness of the condition, including partnering with advocacy groups focused on FTD research and caregiver support.

The wedding photos arrive years after Willis's family announced he would be stepping back from acting entirely, closing out a four-decade career built on action classics. Since then, his household has largely operated out of the spotlight, making moments like this weekend's wedding rare exceptions rather than the rule. For Tallulah, the ceremony closes out a difficult personal stretch that included public struggles with body image and addiction, which she has written about candidly in the past — friends who attended described the low-key, ranch-based celebration as a deliberate choice, consistent with how protectively the Willis family has guarded its private life since Bruce's diagnosis became public.
