Ashley Tisdale Admits She Tried to Divorce Her Husband 'So Many Times' During Postpartum Depression
The actress got brutally honest on her husband's new podcast about nearly ending their marriage while undiagnosed with postpartum depression.
Ashley Tisdale didn't hold back on the debut episode of husband Christopher French's new podcast, "Recovering," revealing she repeatedly tried to leave their marriage while battling undiagnosed postpartum depression after the birth of their son, Jupiter. "I tried to divorce you so many times," she told French on air, according to Yahoo Entertainment.
The 41-year-old said her usual coping tools stopped working and her anxiety turned "very intense," including a near-panic attack while driving in traffic — but she wasn't diagnosed with postpartum depression until Jupiter was already two years old, a delay she says left her stunned: "What? How did you not know to tell me this?"
Tisdale, married to French since 2014, said their second child's arrival in 2024 went very differently, and credited her husband's steadiness with getting them through. The confession immediately spread across entertainment outlets, striking a nerve with fans for its rawness.
