Ariana Madix is not happy with "Love Island Australia." The host called out the franchise's Australian branch after she appeared, without her knowledge, in an AI-generated promo for the show's upcoming eighth season. The October 4 clip, flagged by Instagram as "AI content," showed an AI version of Madix in a strapless dress handing off the keys to the Love Island villa, saying "Good luck, Australia! Try not to break anything," according to Reality Blurb.

Madix responded directly on Instagram: "They didn't tell me AT ALL that the clip I shot would be used with AI. Something I am firmly against. Wtf guys [Love Island Australia]?"

She wasn't alone in her frustration — commenters piled on the promo, with some joking the show couldn't "afford to make a promo video without using AI," per E! News. The flap adds Madix to the growing list of public figures pushing back on unauthorized AI use of their likeness.
