Ric Flair's wild week just got scarier. The 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer was hospitalized in Florida on Friday after a fall, just hours after he'd announced a blood-clot diagnosis in his leg that was already forcing him to cancel travel plans, according to TMZ and E! News.

Flair was treated at Tampa General Hospital, E! News reported, after the fall left him with a cut to his head and eye. Earlier that same day, "The Nature Boy" had posted on social media that doctors had discovered a blood clot in his leg and restricted his travel to no more than three or four hours — forcing him to pull out of a scheduled appearance. He added that blood clots can be life-threatening and said he was slated for a procedure to remove the affected vein.

"I Will Be Okay"

Flair posted an update from his hospital stay, sharing a selfie wearing an eye patch and thanking the staff who treated him through the early morning hours. He wrote that he was staying positive about his recovery.

"I AM FOCUSED ON MY HEALING AND RECOVERY RIGHT NOW. I WILL BE OKAY!"

His daughter, WWE star Charlotte Flair, also weighed in on social media with a lighter touch, reassuring fans that her father would pull through. Flair separately noted he no longer controls one of his social accounts and apologized for a handful of posts made from it while he was still in the hospital.

This is far from Flair's first brush with a medical emergency. The wrestling legend, a two-time WWE Hall of Famer known for his "Whooo!" catchphrase and record-setting world title reigns, has survived several life-threatening scares over the past decade, including a 2017 bowel surgery after kidney failure and a later procedure to replace his pacemaker and remove a separate blood clot tied to an irregular heartbeat.

No further word has come from Flair's representatives on his current condition or an expected release date. Fans and fellow wrestling figures flooded his social posts with well-wishes following the news.

Flair is expected to continue posting recovery updates himself, as he has after past hospital stays, and it remains unclear whether the vein procedure tied to his blood clot will proceed on its original timeline.
