Tupac Murder Trial Opens In Las Vegas As Keefe D Faces His Day In Court
Opening statements begin today in Duane "Keefe D" Davis's trial for orchestrating Tupac Shakur's 1996 killing, nearly 30 years after the rapper's death.
Opening statements are set for Monday in the murder trial of Duane "Keefe D" Davis, the former Compton gang leader accused of ordering the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas.
A jury of six men and ten women was seated last week after four days of selection. Prosecutors are expected to lean heavily on Davis's 2019 memoir, in which he detailed his alleged role, even though he has since disavowed those claims.
The trial, expected to last up to six weeks, could include testimony from Suge Knight, who was riding with Shakur the night he was shot.
