Sugar wakes up cancer!

Sugar along with other processed carbohydrates increases blood sugar. Insulin is then released, transporting the substances to the cells of the body tissues, to be used as a source of energy.

Common table sugar consists of two components, fructose and glucose, the former being disastrous. Unlike other carbohydrates, fructose is metabolised in the liver and stored as fat, causing resistance to insulin, which in turn is harmful to the human body, with a number of abnormalities known as metabolic syndrome.


“It wakes up” cancer

A research that lasted for nine years and was conducted by the Dutch Leuven Cancer Biology Center and the University of Brussels showed that eating sugar makes cancer tumors more aggressive. This is due to the fact that cancer cells tend to break down sugar faster than healthy tissues, a process described under the term “Warburg effect”. Neoplastic cells require more sugar than normal cells. Processed sugar is very dangerous for health, to such an extent that it should be considered as toxic with substances like alcohol and tobacco.

It causes wrinkles

According to a study by Professor and Molecular Biologist Cynthia Kenyon, a diet high in sugar and carbohydrates has a direct effect on aging and longevity, as elevated levels of insulin (which is released from the pancreas to regulate glucose) are “blocked” a gene that helps stimulate the immune system, repairs the cells and produces vital restructuring proteins. Therefore, the more sugar we eat, the more glucose circulates in our body, so release insulin to regulate it and thus block the gene of … repair.

It leads to fat in the liver

The presence of fat in the liver without causing alcohol is more and more common, even in children and, according to experts, is due to fructose consumption. High levels of fructose produce fatty liver beads (lipogenesis), which can change with proper nutrition and attention to sugar consumption.

It causes melancholy

Excessive sugar consumption also harms our brain cells, increasing the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. It is also involved in the production of dopamine, causing more and more addiction while at the same time stressing the adrenal glands, contributing to poor mood, lethargy and melancholy.

It’s bad for the teeth

The increase in sugars in our diet is also evidenced by the fact that now, at very young ages 3 and 4 years old, the teeth are very damaged and removed, something that was not so frequent before. So, limit sugar and your children, always after eating sweets to wash or rinse their teeth. Something you should of course do.

It causes type 2 diabetes

Sugar and processed carbohydrates cause an increasing insulin secretion in order to regulate blood glucose. But when this system is abused, it stops working effectively, and the result is type 2 diabetes, a condition that requires daily insulin administration, attention to diet, and can cause a range of problems, from bad eye health, to heart problems .

It damages the intestine

Overconsumption of sugar leads to intestinal flora in … anxiety, nourishing the “bad” bacteria and causing disturbance in the balance, causing constipation, bad breathing, poor digestion, reduced metal absorption, decreased defense of the body, and so on. Reduce sugar and increase fiber again (wholemeal, vegetables, fruits, and so on) in your diet to regain your balance.
