Tony Romo pleaded no contest to a first-offense OWI charge stemming from a July traffic stop in Milwaukee, according to ESPN. A Milwaukee County court found him guilty, ordering an ignition interlock device, a six-month license revocation and a $784 fine.

In a statement, the former Cowboys quarterback and CBS Sports lead NFL analyst said multiple back surgeries left him in "constant debilitating pain," which led to dependence on pain medication and later alcohol. "This is an important first step," Romo said, per CBS Texas. Romo remains on leave from CBS, where JJ Watt is filling in as lead analyst.
