The Indianapolis Colts' midseason teardown has reached its own quarterback room. Multiple reports indicate the Colts are engaged in trade talks involving Daniel Jones ahead of Tuesday's Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline, with the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings both mentioned as possible landing spots.

It's a stunning turn for a team that signed Jones away from the Vikings on a one-year, $14 million deal back in March. The move looked like a bargain-bin bounce-back story for a quarterback who'd flamed out with the Giants — right up until the Colts collapsed to 2-6, including a 42-7 blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars that accelerated an already-underway sell-off.

Jones joins a growing exodus

Jones isn't the first significant piece Indianapolis has moved this month. The Colts have already traded away veteran contributors as part of what multiple outlets have described as a full roster teardown, and ESPN's Adam Schefter has floated Jones as a logical next domino given the team's draft-capital needs and his modest remaining 2025 salary obligation — reportedly just over $3 million in guaranteed base pay, plus per-game bonuses, that would transfer to any acquiring team.

PICK YOUR POISON: A LOSING LOCKER ROOM, OR A SHOT AT THE PLAYOFFS.

For a motivated contender, that's a cheap price of entry for a starting-caliber arm. The Ravens have been searching for insurance at the position, while the Vikings — the team Jones spurned for Indianapolis just months ago — have been floated as a potential reunion suitor, which would make for one of the stranger round-trips of the NFL season if it actually happens.

A deadline that could reshape Indy's future

No deal had been finalized as of Saturday, and the Colts have conspicuously avoided commenting publicly on the speculation. But the pattern is unmistakable: a team that opened the season with modest expectations has shifted hard into asset-accumulation mode, and a healthy, bridge-caliber starting quarterback is exactly the kind of chip rival front offices will pay a premium for in the final hours before the deadline.

Whether Jones ends up in Baltimore, Minnesota, or still wearing a Colts helmet next Sunday, Indianapolis enters the deadline clearly playing for 2027 and beyond — not for whatever's left of this season.
