Singer and actress Selena Gomez has released her new music video, Good For You, which is currently making waves, seemingly in defiant response to the heartbreaking collapse of her relationship with Justin Bieber.
“I wanted the video to reflect the initial stripped-down version of ‘Good for You,’ ” stated Selena.
And the video was indeed minimalistic in character, with camera focusing on the singer as she went from couch to shower and an empty room.
“This song represents the confidence that I truly have inside of me, and I think it’s the vulnerable side that I’ve expressed, but it’s also the combination of just feeling myself,” the young singer added.
Her take on a couple of sofas were also found to be seductive by viewers.
Obviously, rapper ASAP Rocky was hired to do a guest verse. But Selena was alone in her seduction game.
The 22-year-old singer has been dealing with online bullying and trust issues. Recently she was also rumored to be suffering from drinking relapse and rehab. Selena is in a struggle to establish her own identity and be accepted for it.
Expressing herself to Z100 Morning Show host Elvis Duran, Selena had said, “If I was truly everything that people say I am, you would see it. It’s not like I can hide anything anymore! My life is so public that I do take that into consideration. But I’m also a normal person, I’m a human being and I’m feeling things. I get sad, I get anxious, I get emotional, I get happy! Especially in my 20s, my gosh! I feel like I’m figuring out who I am and I’m constantly being … well not constantly, but I’ve been criticized for trying to live my life.”
