Your breakfasT is changing … level: a nutritionist claims that eating pizza for breakfast is better than eating cereal with milk! Nutritionist – dietician Chelsey Amer says that a piece of pizza for breakfast can actually be the smarter choice than the typical cereal bowl with milk.
“It may surprise you, but a medium slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain almost the same amount of calories. However, the pizza contains a much larger amount of protein, which will keep you full all morning, “he said.
Breakfast Meal: Fat VS Sugar …
Although the pizza may contain enough fat, it has clearly less sugar than many cereals. And sugar does not help at all to satisfy your hunger. Of course, there is a lot to be considered, such as the type of cereal or pizza, for example.
A portion of a typical cereal with sugar contains 130 calories, 3 grams of fat and 9 grams of sugar. But many people do not eat a regular portion, but much more.
Relative research has shown that many people have a completely wrong view of the amount of cereal that is a serving portion. Out of a total of 124 participants, 92% consumed more than one serving. The main reason is the size of the bowl. Because the bowls we serve are quite large, the portions becomes … huge.
Breakfast meal: Calories, fiber and protein
If one person eats two servings of sugared cereal with a non-fat milk portion, the total caloric intake reaches 350 calories, 6 grams of fat, 23 grams of sugar, 5.37 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber. A large piece of pizza special contains 290 calories and 11 grams of fat, but also 13 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber.
