For three to four weeks, footballer Mohammed Salah, who was injured by Sergio Ramos in the event that stunned the Champions League final on Saturday between Liverpool and Real Madrid, will be out of action.
Salah is fighting for time to recover in time from the injury on his shoulder and to proceed with his recovery so as not to lose the World Cup, but Liverpool physiotherapist says that he will stay out of the field for three to four weeks.
The 25-year-old wants to play with the colors of Egypt in the World Cup, as this is only the third national team’s participation in the World Cup and the first for 38 years.
“He regrets what has happened but has focused on recovery and is looking to see when it can be ready,” said Ruben Ponce in the Spanish newspaper Marca. “It is estimated that it will take three to four weeks, but we will try to limit this time, that’s the big goal,” he added.
Egypt participates in the first World Cup group and plays with Uruguay on June 15, before facing Russia’s hostess in 19 and Saudi Arabia on 25.
