Mystery behind Eddie Clarke’s death






Together with Lemmy Kilmister and Phil Taylor  Eddie Clarke, the “Fast” guitarist of the first well-known composition of the legendary heavy metal band, Motorhead. Edward Allan Clarke died a few hours ago at the age of 67, defeated by pneumonia.

The announcement was made by the band itself, from which its great talent emerged through its official Facebook page.


Clarke was introduced to Lemmy and Taylor in the mid-1970s and joined the band in 1976. His maiden album with Motorhead was the band’s first in 1977, and he also starred in Overkill and Bomber’s Ace Of Spades in 1980 and Iron Fist in 1982.

Eddie Clarke left Motorhead just after the release of Iron Fist, as he was not happy with the way the album grew up to later create Fastway alongside former UFO bassist Pete Way. With this band released six albums from the 1983 title to the comeback of the band, Dog Eat Dog, in 2011.
