You never change a team which is always winning. They even thought about it at the American Academy of Cinema and they rushed to the 2018 Oscars for the same team they organized and presented this year’s awards.
The little fault that happened with the best film was not enough to decide the Academy to change team. So, as announced, the 90th event is being hosted by producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd, with Jimmy Kimmel as the presenter.
“Hosting the Oscars was a highlight of my career,” he said in a statement. “If you think we screwed up the ending this year, wait until you see what we have planned for the 90th anniversary show!,” Kimmel joked after the announcement.
This is going to be the second consecutive time that the winner of the awards will be Kimmel, who among other things said Oscar was a climax of his career and he was grateful to the Academy that chose him.
The 90th Oscar will take place on March 4, 2018 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and will be broadcasted live on the ABC television network.
“We can not think of anyone else to be the Oscar host at a time. The way Jimmy handles situations is invaluable, especially if something unpredictable arises, “said Channing Dangi, president of ABC Entertainment, adding:” With Mike and Jennifer at the wheel, we are ready for another unforgettable show that will impress, please, and most importantly he will honor the 90th anniversary of Hollywood’s most famous institution. “
