This ultramodern house that rotates 360 degrees following the rays of the sun can soon dominate the Mediterranean countries.
These solar-powered homes are being tested in sunny Marbella, Spain, and will be the first of their kind in Europe.
They are designed to rotate every 15 minutes or follow the ‘path’ of the sun throughout the day, maximizing the amount of solar energy they absorb.
These first house models are estimated to cost around 600,000 euros, although the civil engineers and architects of this grand project are struggling to create more compact and economically viable homes.
Designers of the Sunhouse 360 futuristic project argue that prospective owners of these pioneering homes will be able to reduce their energy costs by 70% but also reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 68%.
