Rappers NBA Ben10, OG3Three Arrested in FBI Sweep Tied to Houston Shooting
The rapper who survived the shooting is now among those facing scrutiny in its aftermath.
The FBI arrested six people, including rappers NBA Ben10 and OG3Three, in a Thursday morning sweep across Louisiana and Texas tied to an April shooting at Confessions restaurant in Houston, TMZ reported. FBI Houston spokesperson Connor Hagen confirmed the arrests but said specific charges had not yet been disclosed, directing questions to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas, according to Rolling Out.
NBA Ben10 was himself shot and left with what court documents describe as "irreversible paralysis" in the April altercation, which surveillance footage shows beginning as an apparent robbery attempt against a man identified as Allstar JR. A gun fell to the ground during the scuffle, and Allstar JR allegedly opened fire, striking three people, including Ben10. Allstar JR was previously charged in connection with the shooting.
It remains unclear what role prosecutors allege Ben10, OG3Three and the four others arrested Thursday played in the case, given that Ben10 was among those wounded. Further details are expected once formal charges are filed.
