People magazine named Noah Wyle its 2026 Sexiest Man Alive, and the Emmy-winning "The Pitt" star says he's still not entirely sure it isn't a joke. Wyle told the magazine he assumed the offer was a prank and credited his wife, Sara, with talking him into accepting it. The reaction online has been split: plenty of fans defended the pick by pointing to his Emmy and Golden Globe wins for "The Pitt," while a vocal contingent argued his co-star Shawn Hatosy should have gotten the nod instead. Wyle previously spent 11 seasons as Dr. John Carter on "ER."
