PIERRE, S.D. — Kristi Noem filed for divorce from her husband of more than three decades, Bryon Noem, according to court documents filed in Hamlin County, South Dakota — though the filing wasn't posted to the state's online court system until this week, more than five months after the fact, The Hill reported.

The documents, filed April 6, cite irreconcilable differences; the couple had been married since May 1992. The filing came shortly after a tabloid published a photo of Bryon Noem that stirred speculation about the marriage, according to E! News. Bryon Noem's attorney said he is "saddened that the marriage is ending" and hopes for a private, amicable resolution.
