Jon Batiste Shares Hospital Photos With Wife Suleika Jaouad After Third Bone Marrow Transplant
The Grammy winner posted tender bedside selfies as Jaouad battles a leukemia relapse, drawing support from Sharon Stone and Maria Shriver.
Jon Batiste and his wife, writer Suleika Jaouad, shared a joint Instagram post from her hospital room on October 25 after she underwent her third bone marrow transplant in an ongoing battle with leukemia, according to E! News.
The photos show Jaouad, wrapped in a blanket, resting her head on Batiste's shoulder and kissing him as he wears a surgical mask. Batiste wrote that "the kids" were doing okay and that the couple remained "still madly in love" despite the circumstances. Jaouad, 38, first disclosed in a September 28 post that treatments keeping her leukemia at bay had stopped working and that another transplant would likely be necessary, writing she was scared but held "a great deal of hope."
Hundreds of well-wishes poured in, including from Sofia Carson, Sharon Stone and Maria Shriver. Jaouad, first diagnosed with cancer in 2010 with relapses in 2021 and 2024, and Batiste have chronicled their relationship in the Grammy-winning documentary "American Symphony."
