LOS ANGELES — Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend, actress and artist Min Ah, in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles, multiple outlets confirmed Wednesday, including TMZ, which first broke the news. The couple have not disclosed the date, venue or guest list of the wedding itself, keeping the celebration as low-key as their yearslong courtship.

Carrey, 64, and Min Ah, 32, were first photographed together back in February 2022, but kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight for years before making their first official public appearance as a couple at the César Awards in Paris in February of this year, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

A Quiet Ending to a Private Romance

The marriage is notable in part because Carrey had previously suggested he was unlikely to walk down the aisle again. The "Dumb and Dumber" and "The Truman Show" star has been married twice before, and in past interviews spoke candidly about being wary of remarriage after those relationships ended. HollywoodLife noted the couple's roughly 32-year age gap has drawn attention, though friends describe the relationship as serious and long-running well before Wednesday's confirmation.

A SUBLIME COMPANION

Carrey has previously described Min Ah warmly in public remarks, once calling her a "sublime companion" months before news of the wedding broke, according to Bollywood Shaadis. Min Ah, who also goes by the name Minzi, works as an actress and artist and has largely stayed out of the public eye despite her now-husband's decades of fame.

Neither Carrey nor Min Ah have commented publicly beyond confirming the marriage took place. For an actor whose own public image has swung between manic comic energy and candid reflections on mental health and loneliness in recent years, the quiet, guarded nature of the wedding tracks with how he's chosen to live much of his life out of the tabloid glare since stepping back from the busiest years of his film career.
