'Entourage' Creator Rips Jeremy Piven-Adrian Grenier Betting Ad as 'Trash and Theft'
Doug Ellin says a Jake Paul-backed sportsbook ad reuniting Ari Gold and Vinny Chase 'makes me puke' — the platform says it's already racked up 10 million views.

"Entourage" creator Doug Ellin is not a fan of an ad campaign reuniting two of his most famous characters. Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier reprised their roles as Ari Gold and Vinny Chase for a commercial promoting boxer Jake Paul's sportsbook platform, Betr — and Ellin called the spot a "cheap, s----y imitation" of the HBO show, according to Variety.
"It makes me puke," Ellin wrote, calling the ad "trash and theft" and saying he had "zero positivity" watching work he "busted my ass" on for years turned into an advertisement, per TheWrap. He was especially critical of Piven, saying he'd had to talk him into the original show and was surprised to see him "back on it" for a paycheck. A Betr spokesperson said the ad had generated nearly 10 million organic social views in under 24 hours.
