DWTS First Boot Conner Leavitt Opens Up: "I Was Embarrassed"
The "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star says it wasn't the low scores that stung after his early elimination — it was viewers using the moment to relitigate his past.
Conner Leavitt, the first star eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars" Season 35 after his premiere-night salsa scored 12 out of 30, says the sting had little to do with the judges. "I wasn't embarrassed because of the judge's score. I wasn't embarrassed by the criticism. I wasn't even embarrassed that some people didn't like the dance," Leavitt said in comments reported by E! News. "I was embarrassed because I felt like people were throwing my past mistakes in my face."
Leavitt, husband of Season 34 standout Whitney Leavitt, was referencing issues aired on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," where his use of dating apps during his marriage was previously discussed. Additional details were confirmed by Yahoo Entertainment.
