Chris Evans Openly Apologizes for Top Gear ’s Cenotaph Stunt

We all love Top Gear because it’s funny, it’s sarcastic, and it’s daring! But a new stunt by the TG team got the Brits furious – which is saying something… these guys are ice!

Turns out, Chris Evans and everyone’s favorite Friend, Matt LeBlanc, were seen filming scenes for the new season in Westminster near the Cenotaph in central London. And this place being a very precious war memorial, people dubbed their daring stunt as disrespectful and unthoughtful.

The photos shared online show large tire circle marks left behind on the streets of the Cenotaph after the stunt was over. Evans spoke on BBC 2 Radio, saying he deeply regrets such actions and that he completely understood the people’s “furore”. He went on to comment that though Jeremy Clarkson was no saint, he definitely would have never done something in such bad taste!
