Auction for the legendary pink diamond

For the first time in 130 years, a 19-carat pink diamond, owned by Louis Vuitton and Napoleon Bonaparte, is being auctioned by Christie’s.

The legendary “Le Grand Mazarin” was auctioned once again, selling jewels of the French crown in 1887. It comes from the gold mines of India and, according to Christie’s, has been used in every crown of almost all kings and emperors of France since the beginning of the 18th century.

The diamond will be auctioned on 14 November in Geneva and its price is estimated at between $ 6 and $ 9 million.
