Apple has renewed the terms of the App Store and announced the following: it will not allow mining cryptos on iPhone and iPad. The new guidelines were made public during the Worldwide Developers’ Conference for apps available in the App Store, which is the only way to distribute an app on iOS.
Renewed instructions in the Hardware Compatibility category make it clear that all applications including ads running on them by third parties are prohibited from retaining features that do not look like mining cryptos. It clarifies elsewhere that with regard to encryption, it will allow applications to store digital coins but will not allow them to be mined unless it is done in the cloud or somewhere else outside the device.
Apple will not allow the resources of its mobile devices to be used for such purposes, and it is also forbidden to offer users cryptoscopies by developers as a reward for example for downloading an application.
