Wife has to pay $820.000 to her husband

The “Rose War,” in a Japanese version, recalls the case of 34-year-old Midori Kawamiya, who is accused of entering her ex-husband’s house – and a violin maker – and destroyed 54 violins and 70 bows worth about $820,000.

The woman was arrested yesterday and admitted entering the house – and lab – of her 64-year-old Norwegian ex-husband, but not that she destroyed the musical instruments. The damaged violins were either made or bought by the man, and among them was an Italian valued $390,000.

According to Japanese media, the couple seperated last year and was in the process of divorce.
