Samsung has just released the GALAXY A8 in the Indian market. At a price of Rs 32,500 will come in White, Black, and Gold. The 5.9mm thick smartphone is quite slim, but it isn’t the slimmest around.
Other phones like the Gionee Elife S7, Oppo R5 and Vivo X5Max are, respectively, only 5.5mm, 4.85mm and 4.75mm thick.
The Galaxy A8 will also run the latest Android has to offer, Lollipop 5.1.1 along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The phone also caters to the market it’s being released into by offering two SIM slots, one of which can be used as a microSD card slot.
However, this means that a user who wants to use two SIMs can’t have a microSD card, and vice versa. The phone has a premium feel to it with metal bezels at its sides and a bezel0less screen.
The phone has a 1080p screen along with a Super AMOLED display. Its internals consist of a Samsung Exynos 5430 SoC, an octa0core with 4 high-powered cores and four low-powered cores.
It also has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It also features a 16 megapixel camera with OIS and an f/1.9 aperture with LED flash.
