Microsoft officially unveiled its groundbreaking game streaming service, Project xCloud. Project xCloud is a major leap for the company as it will provide its users with the Xbox experience through various devices such as mobile and tablet devices. The application architecture is equipped with multiple consoles scattered across multiple data centers to allow remote use through your device.
A service such as Project xCloud will be experiencing latency and visual fidelity problems, but these obstacles are overtaking Microsoft’s Azure cloud. The company has begun testing xCloud with mobile devices and tablets, while using Xbox controllers via Bluetooth and touch input over 4G and 5G network. The public trial service test will begin next year.
