Paul McCartney appeared on James Corden’s show, Carpool Karaoke, in a special episode in which the Beatles legend returns to the places that inspired the band’s music. The presenter leads to Liverpool’s streets with McCartney next to him, singing some of his most famous tracks, including Let It Be, Blackbird and of course Drive My Car.
Corden had the chance to experience the most entertaining mysterious tour, leading to Penny Lane with McCartney singing the lyrics of the homonymous song showing him all the parts mentioned in the track but also some areas of personal significance for him such as the church who was married to his brother.
Indeed, they stop at McCartney’s home – more tourist attraction -. McCartney reports a few funny moments from the early Beatles career before playing a performance on When I’m Sixty Four on the piano. Finally, Corden goes with McCartney in one of the old-time pubs where he ends up with McCartney giving a surprise concert playing songs like A Hard Day’s Night, Back in the USSR and Ob-La-Di, Ob- All right.
