North Korean missiles can now also reach Europe

North Korean missiles can be equipped with nuclear weapons and are capable of reaching up to Germany and central Europe, a senior official of the German foreign intelligence service (BND) has filed before MPs this week, according to a Bild am Sonntag newspaper.

BND Deputy Director Oli Dietle said at a meeting of MPs held behind closed doors that this estimate is “certain”, according to the newspaper quoting persons who participated in the meeting.

Up to now BND has not commented.

A senior North Korean diplomat left for Finland today for talks with former US and South Korean officials, the Yonhap news agency reported in a series of diplomatic meetings ahead of a possible US-North Korea conference.
