Listen to the first space symphony

Scientists in a composer’s role actually dug a deal from another world, a twelve-ounce created by 5,000 sunset photos sent to Earth by NASA’s Opportunity.

Acoustic transcription was done with the help of technology, translating into music notes the data from the robotic particle detector.

The work is a joint effort of researchers at Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Exeter, scanning the magical sunsets of the Red Planet pixel by pixel.
