Lady Gaga Sings with Sexual Assault Victims at the Oscars In Moving Performance

Not one eye was left dry, last night at the Oscars, when Lady Gaga started singing her Oscar-nominated song ‘Til It Happens To You’. Gaga was in the middle of an already powerful performance, when she was joined on stage by scores of sexual assault survivors and that was the cherry on top of an already tear-jerking cake.

Every one of those people had written words on their arms including “not your fault” and “survivor”, in an attempt to drive courage and comfort into the hearts of every other survivor out there. This song was written for the documentary The Hunting Ground which dealt with the issue of rape victims in university campuses.
