Contact lenses which correct the color blindness

According to OSA, researchers were able to integrate ultra-thin optical devices, also known as post-surfaces, onto the contact lens body to correct the secondary anomaly in which the red-crimson is confused with the light green.

As you can see in the pictures above, the left is our original image, the middle is the one with secondary anomaly and the right is the one with secondary anomaly but corrected with the new contact lenses.

Contact lenses are not currently available on the market as clinical trials have to be completed. However, it is a step towards improving existing remedies that are more difficult and much more bulky.
